JIMMY JOHNS JUST OPENED a branch down the street. I am thrilled. Arizona is seriously lacking in sandwich shop options; all we have is
Subway (meh) and
Quiznos (yuck) and
Jason's Deli (tasty, but expensive) and
Paradise Bakery (aka Panera in the southwest). Jason's Deli and Paradise are both quite delish, but are not good options when you are in a rush. Quiznos is just gross, and a girl can only each so much Subway before it gets old. Jimmy Johns will be a welcome addition to my diet. (Besides, it brings back fond memories of getting "Turkey Tom" on Saturday nights and trekking back to the sorority house to watch TV in the solarium. Which is why Vicki excitedly texted me when she heard they were opening and why I excitedly texted her back to tell her they are now open.) I totally had a Turkey Tom for dinner tonight. It was everything I hoped it would be. Now if they would only open a
