I had a bit of a busy/rough week. We had a competency, presentation, and exam in the span of 3 days (of course it was the end of the week, so you couldn't get it out of the way early). I also spent numerous hours practicing in the sim clinic and at least 8 hours in the research lab. Most of my days were over 10 hours long. After all that, my body was just physically exhausted and achy. I can't believe how physical it is to sit hunched over a "patient" all week. AND, if that wasn't enough, my "new" (aka 3 months old) cell phone decides to crap out. It is my only link to anything; I am kind of embarrassed to admit how much I rely on it. So I was in the Verizon store 4 times in the span of a week. Problem still isn't fixed of course, and I have to wait for a new one to come in the mail. So this weekend was a welcome relief. And relief it was...
We get these coupon mailers stuffed in our mailbox on an almost daily basis. Most of the time it is junk mail. (No I don't need someone to fix my furnace or cut my lawn or clean my pool. What is this Bashas ad? We don't have one of those around here. Teeth whitening for $59? Seems sketchy...) However, once in awhile, there are some true gems in there. (Buy one get one free Jamba Juice? Thank you! Save $2 on Yumberi fro-yo? Yes please!) The coupon that came last week was the absolute winner. Two massages (one for you, one for a friend) for $25 at the Arizona School of Massage Therapy. Today my friend Allie and I decided to cash in that coupon. We each had a 50 minute massage for $12.50. And if that wasn't enough, when we walked out the manager dude said they were "short on bodies" and offered us each a second massage for free! Seriously, like I am going to say no to that. So, I enjoyed almost two whole hours of massaging for $12.50. That comes down to 12.5 cents per minute! I've probably spent more on a phone call! It was wonderful. Both Allie and I left the massage place totally blissed out. We ended up at the Mellow Mushroom and got some mighty tasty pizza. It was exactly what I needed. Good news is there is another coupon for next weekend. Maybe I can convince my roommate to go...
I'll go, I'll go, pick me, pick me!
