it's the weekend!

This quarter, the weekends have been a bit more enjoyable than in the past.  I think a lot of it has to do with  our schedule.  It feels like we have a lot less class time and a lot more lab time.  This means that I don't have to cram my weekends full of studying to stay on top of my class work.  And they have given us projects that can easily be completed in class time.  Also, our first test is still not for another week and a half.  (It almost makes me suspicious.  Why am I not as stressed out as I was for the last 2 quarters?  Should I be?  Am I forgetting something?)  Chances are things will pick up in another week and I will revert back into super stressed out mode.  Until then, I guess I'll continue to enjoy it while I can.

Friday I went to a spring training game with Vicki.  Since I only had class until 10 AM, we went to lunch and headed over to the ballpark at 1PM, because that is when all the baseball games start.  There was zero traffic and I got a ridiculously good parking space.  We went over to buy tickets, and the park was oddly quiet, despite the obvious preparations for a game (such as the vendors cooking food).  Turns out the game didn't start until 4PM and all other games in the valley were sold out.  So we ended up wasting time by going to a nearby Borders that was closing.  The fact that a bookstore (one of my favorite places to be) is closing makes me sad.  However, I was excited to take advantage of the liquidation of inventory and extreme sales.  I bought 4 books; someday I will seriously need a whole room to house my book addiction.  Vicki and I eventually went back to the game, and it was seriously one of the best I have seen.  The Sox were playing very well and there were lots of impressive plays.  They ended up beating the Oakland A's 18-1.  Afterwards, I returned to campus and stopped by Maria's BBQ.  There was lots of tasty food.  I have some seriously talented friends.

Last night, Brynn had a "girl's night" at her place.  We watched a movie and sat in her hot tub.  It was very relaxing.

Today, I think I am actually going to have to attempt to get some work done.  But first...

Anytime I have been driving in my car lately, I keep hearing "Down On Me" by Jeremih and 50 Cent playing on the radio.  This isn't the type of music I listen to, but I admit that this song it kind of catchy.  And every time I hear it, I think of this video and want to start bobbing my head too.  (Also, watch until at least 1:30.)
