Here is the video that was made of the "PFM Relay" that we had last week. Two teams of three professors tried to prep a crown as fast as they could. As soon as one professor was done, another sat down and started working on the same "patient" to see which team finished all three crowns the fastest. It was a lot more exciting than I expected, with the winning team coming from behind for victory. Overall, the entire relay took about 20 minutes...much shorter than it takes the average dentist to prep a crown on a live patient. However, both deans agreed that the work on the crowns was "clinically acceptable".
