funny things

Today we got a call from a patient about his temporary stainless steel crown falling off.  We told him to put some Fixodent denture adhesive on it to hold it in place until he could come in for us to recement it.

A few hours later, we get a text from the same patient.  He asked, "How long is it okay to go without the temporary crown?"

We were a little surprised.  He had already been told to come see us ASAP.  We told him (again) to come back and see us as soon as his schedule would allow.  Then we got a follow up text.

"I swallowed it.  Am I going to die?"

We called him back and tried telling him to wait until it passed and then bring it so we could cement it back on, but neither Mindi nor I could tell him that without laughing.  Hopefully he will be able to come back in so we can place a new temporary crown.  And he certainly won't die.

And I found some more Zumba videos taken during one of my classes.  This time, I am standing right in the front row on the left side wearing a purple top, black pants with green trim, and black shoes.  Have a good laugh at my bad dance moves.  (Be sure to watch all 3 dances in the 8 minute video.  Even when the camera shifts, you can see me dancing in the mirror.)
