wandering mind

Sometimes I end up on a particular website or YouTube video and wonder how I got there.  It happened tonight.  And so I back-tracked to see where exactly my wandering mind had carried me.

It all started when my friend posted this on facebook: "Now accepting mix tapes, albums, and music recommendations."

So I started filtering through my iTunes to pick out some of my favorite songs to share.

And I ultimately came across the recording that NUMB (Northwestern University Marching Band...good ol' NU and its acronyms) did when I was a junior in college.  I remember thinking how awesome it was that music I helped create was good enough to record and sell to people.

So then I started thinking about how much I loved playing trumpet and how much I miss it sometimes.

This made me get all nostalgic; thus I searched for YouTube videos of NUMB performances from when I was in college.

And that is how I came across this video, which is awesome!

Apparently, this video is now played before the band steps onto the field at halftime.  (Which I wouldn't know because it's been 2 years since I went to a NU football game. *tear*)  BUT, I do get to see a NU football game this year...in BOSTON!  Huzzah!  Too bad the band won't be there, but you can't win them all.
