The monsoons around here have been crazy lately. Last night, I made it home from my exercise class about 5 minutes before this storm broke loose. It was so amazing, I braved the rain and went to take some video out on my patio.
The storm was pretty amazing. I was filming this next video when there was an explosion across the street as a transformer blew (which I sadly did not catch on video). However, you can see one impressive bit of lightning and everything go dark. Then the power went out. Luckily, our power was only out for about 5 minutes, because in 100+ degree heat and humidity, my apartment would have quickly become unbearable. Some of my neighbors were not so lucky.
Even after the rain stopped, there was a pretty impressive lightning show for the rest of the evening. Then I went to bed. When I woke up this morning, it was bright and sunny once again. This state is so weird sometimes.
