So this is getting tough already. It's not that I am having a hard time finding things to be thankful for. I just feel like writing out the things I am grateful for today will seem silly. Well, I can't cop out on day 2, so here goes. No judging!
I am thankful for tonight's "bootcamp on the bike" class at the gym that kicked my butt. It was definitely a challenge to go from lifting weights to doing intervals on the spinning bikes. And I decided that tonight was a good time to add an additional 5 pounds to my dumbbell. That was probably not the smartest idea, because tonight was probably one of the toughest classes I have attended yet. I am going to be so sore tomorrow. That being said, I am thankful for a body that is capable of doing all the different exercises that we did tonight. And I am thankful for that really good post-workout feeling. And I am oh so thankful for a nice warm shower when I come home.
I am also thankful for the faculty members I work with in the clinic. It's nice to be able to approach your professor and not be embarrassed to say, "I don't understand this" or "explain this to me". Today, I asked Dr. C about why we yesterday chose to make a ceramic crown with a zirconia core that can be cemented instead of a pressed ceramic crown that needs to be bonded for the patient. (I could tell you why, but I have a feeling it wouldn't be that interesting for you.) Later that afternoon, I talked with Dr. B at length about the steps needed to make an implant supported over-denture. It was nice to get my questions answered with straight-forward answers. I hope to never take that for granted.
