food blog

In the coming weeks, this blog may inadvertently turn into a food blog of sorts.  While I was on vacation, I purchased a Caribbean cookbook.  I also received a subscription to Bon Appetit magazine for Christmas, with the first issue arriving in the mail today.  Both are chock full of recipes that I am itching to try.  Maybe I should take a poll to see which ones I need to try first.

Which of the following recipes should I make first?
-sauteed chicken with wild mushrooms
-almond-cranberry quinoa cookies (billed as a breakfast item?!?)
-creamy polenta with sausages and roasted grapes
-chicken with kale and freekeh-lentil pilaf
-chicken skewers with lemon salsa (lemons are in season at the orchard across the street!)
-pineapple pie from antigua
-rum banana brulee from the british virigin islands
-garlic lemon tilapia from jamaica
-chicken mango supreme from the bahamas

The only thing that may prevent me from making every single one of this recipes at this very moment is the fact that I just went to the grocery store and didn't get some of the ingredients and that midterms are just around the corner.  But soon, very very soon I will try these recipes.  Poll number 2 for this post: would you be interested in me posting the recipes and photos?

  1. My vote is for sauteed chicken & mushrooms. I would only post pics of stuff you don't burn or that tastes good. :)
