faculty appreciation

Today we had an appreciation ceremony for all the faculty in the dental clinic.  I sort of love it when we do things like this, because it shows the best sides of both the students and the faculty.  I am very happy to work with some truly creative and funny people each and every day.  Seeing shared dental school experiences poked fun of in skits, poems, and videos is really fun.

For the faculty in Suite E, Mindi and I put together a top ten list for each faculty member, modeled after the Late Night Show with David Letterman.  They absolutely loved it!

Some of the other suites were very talented with videos and put together some great clips.  I think one of my favorites was a spoof of the Most Interesting Man in the World from the Dos Equis commercials.  (Still don't know what I'm talking about?  Watch this.)  Click this link to watch the video they came up with.  Another good one included making a music video.

Overall, it was really great to get some good chuckles in the morning before heading to clinic and getting down to business.  Today's business included a crown delivery, extraction, and bone graft.  It was a pretty easy afternoon.
