sometimes

Sometimes I can get really stressed out an bogged down by school.  This quarter has been particularly rough, as there have been lots of changes at school that can be difficult to get used to.  We have new faculty, new partners, and 110 new people in the clinic that have NO clue what they are doing (just like me a year ago).  Over time, things have gotten better.  It has just been a process.  (And in all reality, I got crazy lucky.  My new partner and I get along great.  How did that happen 2 years in a row?)

Sometimes, there are things that happen that make you smile and really appreciate school, the faculty, and the people around you.  Today, I witnessed one of those things.  After school, Mindi, Katie (my new partner), and I decided we would get froyo as a special treat.  We walked out to the parking garage and got into Mindi's SUV.  She goes to drop it into reverse when we notice that two faculty members are loitering behind the car.  Suddenly, Dr. H approaches the passenger side and motions for us to roll down the window.  We oblige and he asks for a pen.  We look at him strangely and he tells us that he is leaving a note for Dr. Z.  Both of them are CCCs in the dental clinic and they have a running bet about who can leave the clinic earlier.  Today, Dr. H won the bet, as he noticed Dr. Z's car in the parking garage as he went to leave.  He was just making sure Dr. Z would pay up, and left him a note tucked under the windshield wiper to remind him.
